JUVENILE LAW

Beth has worked in the area of juvenile law for most of her career.  While working as a Senior Assistant Attorney General she prosecuted termination of parental rights cases across the state on behalf of the Department of Family Services.  As a Public Defender Beth was the lead attorney in Laramie County for juveniles accused of committing crimes. 

She now works on a contract with the State of Wyoming as a Guardian ad Litem in abuse, neglect, CHINS and delinquency cases.  Beth frequently presents courses to other attorneys on juvenile law and representation of juveniles.

Beth began her criminal law practice while still in law school as the Director of the Defender Aid Program.  As Director she briefed and argued several criminal appeals at both the state and federal level, including in front of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Beth later worked as a trial attorney with the Public Defender’s Office where she handled hundreds of criminal cases and had success at trial.  Additionally, Beth has had capital case experience both at the trial level and at the Wyoming Supreme Court where she argued a high profile death penalty appeal.  She continues to represent individuals accused of committing crimes in all courts.
